Where passion begins
Today, AFC is leader in the manufacturing of olive wood utensils and accessories thanks to the extraordinary work of our team. We are extremely proud of each member. From 1992 to today, we have been able to evolve and adapt continuously. Browse through their profiles to discover their passion behind our company.
The history of AFC began in 1992. Three Frenchmen came to meet Shpend Sejdarasi, the four of whom will become the founders of AFC.
On the French side, we were looking to produce abroad. On the Albanian side, we were coming out of the communist period, so we were looking to work with other countries.
Mr. Sejdarasi decided to begin with these three Frenchmen on the adventure of olive wood.
The company became Albanian France Company. AFC.
The first workshop was created in the east of Tirana, 7 people worked full-time.
A year after the opening of the first workshop, we were starting to run out of space. AFC expanded and moved to the north-east of Tirana.
AFC industrialized, while keeping the artisanal aspect of its know-how.
Shpend Sejdarasi became the sole owner of AFC.
During this period, we obtained our first major engagement, which continue even today.
Over the past 18 years, AFC has continued to grow. In 2010, we had 40 employees.
At this point, our strategy is based on consistency. We decided to focus on our improvement. Major French and European brands have trusted us for several years.
We then improved our working conditions and processes to meet an ever-increasing customer demand.
At the end of 2021, AFC has been a leader in the manufacturing of olive wood utensils for several years.
Olive wood being a wood of great nobility, it is highly requested. It is becoming more and more difficult to get supplied, despite a furnishing of several tons per week.
At the same time, and after several years of testing and reflection, we decided to recycle another part of our raw material. The so-called "white" or "clear" part.
The Elegance range is born, more sober, more responsible, more respectful of the environment, it is as much in line with new aesthetic trends as it is environmental.
In 2022, 30 years after the opening of our first workshop, we have 85 people in our factory, and have expanded our industrial surface area by 20 times.
The Elegance range is expanding, and we are running out of space again!
AFC is therefore embarking on a new expansion project.
